Dilation and Curettage (D&C) with Hysteroscopy
D&C is a common surgical procedure where the cervix is dilated (opened) and a small instrument, called a curette is used to remove tissue from the uterus. This procedure is often performed to diagnose and treat conditions of the uterus, like abnormal bleeding.
During a D&C with hysteroscopy, a D&C is performed and then your provider will use a hysteroscope (a slim, viewing instrument) to look inside the uterus.
